The third week passed relatively uneventfully. By that I mean no cravings - I’ve even started to feel reasonably full after a meal, instead of the ‘is that all?’ feeling.
Gary even commented that he isn’t missing our low carb treats. (low carb muffins, low carb pancakes, etc - he used to adore them, but they’re not really on this diet.

One of the problems I have with the Rosedale diet book is that there aren’t always explanations of why a food is allowed, restricted or banned.
For example, the diet bans all carbonated (soda pop) drinks, even diet drinks. Why?

The second week, and I’m on a roll! Every night I get on the scales, and I’m a tad less than the night before. Every morning I get on the scales, and I’m a tad less than the morning before.
I’m not hungry, not even having chocolate cravings!

I mentioned earlier that I’ve been using EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) to stop any cravings (mostly, an occasional craving for a low carb chocolate!).
This is the only technique I’ve ever tried that actually killed my cravings.

I’ve found that this very easy soup is really filling, and adds one more serve of those healthy low carb vegetables.
All of the quantities are approximate, and can be varied to taste.
- 1 cup low carb vegetables canned or cooked until they’re very soft
- 2 cups chicken stock (its OK to use powdered stock or stock cubes)
- spices and seasonings to taste
