Well the two kilos that turned up overnight, slowly disappeared over two or three days. I suspect the sudden weight gain was purely fluid retention from the salty pancetta.
Hmm, could this be one of the reasons why bacon and ham are banned on the Rosedale diet?

No! How did this happen? Small daily fluctuations are to be expected, but two kilos?
All that I ate that was *slightly* different was a spinach salad that I ordered for a restaurant lunch. The salad had spinach, avocado, pine nuts - all OK on the diet - and on the top, were a few, paper-thin crispy slices of Pancetta (italian bacon).
...This is a preview of Aaargh! Up two kilos in one day!

My first three weeks on this diet were quite exciting, because every day I would get on the scales and see a loss. I hadn't seen that sort of weight loss on a diet since I was in my twenties.

Hmm, week four - time to progress to level 2 - or is it? The Rosedale diet book says that you can stay on level 1 indefinitely, in fact its recommended, but in week four, you can progress to level 2, if you must.

No, I don't eat all of my meals at home.
Gary packs a lunch for me, most work days. Basically, its my small serve of protein, plus a large salad. Everyone remarks how healthy my lunch is (while they're tucking into their deep-fried canteen food!).
