I mentioned earlier that I’ve been using EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) to stop any cravings (mostly, an occasional craving for a low carb chocolate!).
This is the only technique I’ve ever tried that actually killed my cravings.
It’s a very simple technique that I haven’t seen on the web. I call it the ‘five finger’ technique. Its based on the energy meridians which flow through the body. Each finger (and thumb) has a meridian passing through the inside edge of the fingernail.
The process works by stimulating each of these meridians, while making an affirmation. Your affirmation should be in the format ‘Even though….. I choose…..’
So my affirmation might be “Even though I’m craving chocolate, I choose to stay on my diet”
To stop the craving, tap, gently and rapidly, on the inside edge of each fingernail, while reciting your affirmation - aloud is best, but silently will do.
I find that by the time I’ve recited my affirmation for each finger, tapping as I go, the cravings are gone! OK, sometimes I have to do two rounds to get the full effect.
I haven’t given in to my cravings even once yet, because with a few taps, the cravings are gone. Magic!

When I saw my first Rosedale diet dinner - a very small serve of chicken, plus low carb vegetables, my first thought was 'is that all?'. And thats exactly how I felt after I'd eaten it! Gradually, over the week, I learned to add soup and/or salad to the meal,
