Aaargh! Up two kilos in one day!

No! How did this happen?  Small daily fluctuations are to be expected, but two kilos?

All that I ate that was *slightly* different was a spinach salad that I ordered for a restaurant lunch.  The salad had spinach, avocado, pine nuts - all OK on the diet -  and on the top, were a few, paper-thin crispy slices of Pancetta (italian bacon).

Now yes, I know processed meats are not allowed on the diet, but I ate the Pancetta anyway, and it was salty, but delicious.

And now I'm two kilos (nearly 5 pounds) heavier. Of course, I'm hoping that its just fluid retention, and that the scale will go back down again very soon.
