No, I don't eat all of my meals at home.

Gary packs a lunch for me, most work days.  Basically, its my small serve of protein, plus a large salad.  Everyone remarks how healthy my lunch is  (while they're tucking into their deep-fried canteen food!).

I tend to eat out a couple of times a week.  I order a main course salad.  Caesar salad is a good standby, as most restaurants will serve a main course Caesar salad. Just DON'T eat the croutons!  I always mean to tell them to hold the croutons, & I always forget.

Ok, a Ceasar salad usually has a little ham or bacon - its not enough to upset the diet in any way, so just add that to your 'mini cheats' list, and enjoy!

Never, Never, Never have dessert!  I usually order a black Vienna coffee (long black with whipped cream on top), and play with the whipped cream while the others eat dessert.

We occasionally eat out at the local food market in the evening.  There's lots of Asian food stalls there, with much of the food deep-fried.  Many Thai dishes don't have thickened sauces and are OK.  I usually have pan-grilled fish fillets, with a vegetable stir fry.

  • Cheating on the Diet and Still Losing Weight
  • One of the problems I have with the Rosedale diet book is that there aren't always explanations of why a food is allowed, restricted or banned. For example, the diet bans all carbonated (soda pop) drinks, even diet drinks.  Why? I love Coke Zero & Pepsi Max. They both have virtually no

  • Week Four - What’s New on the Diet
  • Hmm, week four - time to progress to level 2 - or is it?  The Rosedale diet book says that you can stay on level 1 indefinitely, in fact its recommended, but in week four, you can progress to level 2, if you must.So I've decided to progress to *some*

  • Cutting salt and hidden sodium
  • I didn't realize quite how long it had been - I'd never intended to make this one more abandoned blog.Back to the sudden, overnight 2 kilo gain.I discussed it with my doctor, and he suggested I cut out salty foods.  - a bit difficult, because I rarely eat salty foods,
